Guava is the yummy fruit and here i have prepared curry from it. My niece specially loves this curry because of it fruity taste. it is very healthy dish. Lets see how it made it.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup guavas chopped/Amrood
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds/ jeera
  • 2 tbsp oil/tel
  • A pinch of asafoetida/hing
  • 2 tsp coriander powder/ dhaniya powder
  • 1 tbsp chily powder/lal mirch
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder/haldi
  • Salt add test/namak
  • 1-2 tomatoes chopped/ tamatar
  • some curd/dahi
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp mango powder/amchur
  • 1 tsp roasted ground fennel seeds/souf
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice/nimbu rass
  • Some Chopped coriander/hara dhaniya
  • 1 tsp sugar/shakkar

How to Make

  1. Heat oil or ghee in a pan and Cut guavas into pieces and keep aside.
  2. Now add cumin seeds and pop it and after 10 seconds add asafoetida, coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric and salt and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Now add  tomatoes and yoghurt and fry for 5 minutes.
  4. After this add some water and bring to a boil and add guavas to pan and cover and cook until soft.
  5. Sprinkle some garam masala, amchur powder, roasted fennel powder and sugar and simmer for 5 minutes and add lemon juice and cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Now your dish is ready, garnish it with some coriander leaves and serve hot hot with puri or rice.
