Kaddu Ki Sabzi light and simple recipe. This is a delicious recipe which can be made on regular days and also during Navratri fasting. This dish is very easy and quick ready and healthy for us.

  • ready time -25-30mins


  • 1 cup chopped pumpkin/kaddu
  • 2-3 tbsp oil/tel
  • 1 tbsp ginger,garlic paste/adrak,lehsun paste
  • A pinch asafoetida/hing
  • 1 tsp fenugreek seeds/methi dana
  • 1 Tbsp salt/namak (use sendha namak/rock salt if fasting)
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder/haldi
  • 1 tsp chilli powder/mirch powder
  • 1 Tbsp coriander powder/dhaniya powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 Tbsp sugar/shakkar
  • 1 Tbsp amchoor powder/kacha mango powder
  • 4-5 green chillies, slit/hari mirch
  • 1tsp cumin seed/rai

How To Make

  1. Take a pan and heat oil and add asafoetida, fenugreek seeds and cumin seeds and add ginger and garlic paste.
  2. Now Saute till it changes color and add pumpkin and green chillies, stir-fry over high heat until the pumpkin become half cooked.
  3. After this add salt, turmeric powder , garam masala, coriander powder, chilli powder and sugar and mix well.
  4. Now Lower the flame and let simmer covered for 5 minutes or more till it become soft. Now add the amchoor powder and cook further for 2 minutes.
  5. Now your tasty pumpkin/kaddu dish is ready to eat.
  6. Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve with chapati(indian flat bread).
