Namkeen sevai is a delicious Indian snacks, served at evening time. sevai is like thin noodles which is made with some twist of salt, chilly, some coriander and many other ingredients.

Namkeen sevai is started with some boiling process of sevai and when cooked water is drained out and fried in some seasoning.

Lets see how i made it, kids loves it alot.

Ingredients

  • 3 cup vermicelli/sevai boiled with a pinch of salt and 4 drop oil.
  • 1 big onion chopped/pyaj
  • Some  curry leaves/kadhi patta
  • 1/2 cup roasted peanuts/shengdana
  • 1 tsp black mustard seeds / rai
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds/ jeera
  • 4  green chilly chopped or lal mirch powder as needed
  • Salt to taste/namak
  • 3 tbsp oil/tel
  • 4 tbsp coriander leaves/hara dhaniya
  • boiled green peas/ mattar (optional)

How To Make

  1. Heat a pan and add a oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves and let it pop nicely , add peanuts and green peas and saute for a 2 minute.
  2. Now add chopped onions and fry till brown (you may also add tomato/tamatar if needed) and cook nicely.
  3. Now add salt green chilly and saute for some time and add your boiled sevai and mix it with all seasoning and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Your delicious namkeen sev/vermicelli upma/ semiya upma is ready to serve, sprinkle some fresh coriander on it and serve hot.
  5. while making this sevai you may add some fresh vegetables also like carrot, and beans.
