For Special Masala.

  • 2 Medium Onion Chopped/ Pyaj
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds/ Til
  • 1 tbsp Poppy Seeds/ Khus-Khus
  • 1 and 1/2 Half tbsp Garted Dry Coconut/ Nriyal
  • 3 tbsp Oil For Roasting
  • 3 tsp Indian Garam Masala ( I Use Pravin Brand Masala)
  • 1 and Pinch of Salt/ Namak
  • 1 tsp Turmeric/ Haldi
  • 1 & 1/2 Red Chilly Powder/ LAl mirch
  • 2 tsp Garlic Ginger Paste
  • Water As Needed To Make a Fine Paste

For kofta(Pakoras’s)

  • 1/3 Cup Grated Bottle Gourd/ Lauki
  • 1 Cup Gram Flour/ Besan
  • salt to taste
  • Pinch of Soda powder/ khata soda
  • 1 tsp garlic ginger paste/ adrak lehsun paste
  • 1 tsp Red chilly powder/ lal mirch
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric/ Haldi
  • water as needed
  • oil to deep fry
    For lauki kofta garvy
  • 3 tbsp masala paste
  • water as needed
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp Chopped coriander
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
Direction for making kofta

1. Heat pan and add 2 tbsp of oil and roast onion till brown and add sesame and poppy seeds together as well, roast for 1 min & remove it from pan.
2. On same pan heat 1 tbsp oil and roast coconut till light brown and remove, transfer all roasted ingredients into blender and add all remaining masala ingredients and little water and blend it into very fine and soft paste. keep it aside.
3. For kofta in a bowl add all ingredients together except water and mix it well with hands and add little amount of water as needed and make paste like consistancy, your batter is ready.
4. Now make heat oil and with the help of hands or spoon pour spoon full of batter into hot oil and deep fry golden brown one by one and keep aside.
5. In a deep pan heat 2 to 3 tbsp of oil & add cumin seeds and let it pop & add 3 tbsp of specail masala and sautee it till oil comes to the sides of pan from masala and it will become more brown in color.
6. Now add water as you want the thickness of gravy (I make garvy watery), boil this gravy for 4 to 5 minute’s and add all fried kofta into gravy and boil for 1 to 2 minute.
7. Sprinkle some coriander on gravy and your lauki kofta is ready.
8. Serve it some roti and rice.
